THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW AS A READER

FEEDBACK:         You are neither proof-reading nor copy editing. Refrain from commenting on grammar, syntax, orthography, unless it severely impacts readability or disturbs the reader experience in other ways. If you are unclear about your role please peruse our “How to give feedback” site.

INTERACTIONS: Students are responsible for initiating contact and remaining in touch with you. If you have not heard from a student by the agreed upon date, let the Reader Project Coordinator know immediately.

DEADLINES:        Students are responsible for conveying deadlines. Reader Project does not set deadlines for your interactions as they are dependent on the syllabus and other instructor directives.

PRIVACY:            Only students may share their own work and instructor comments with you. This is mandated by FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). You are also required to keep the student’s work confidential.
